LILUNGELO LAKHO PROJECT LAUNCH: Advancing Civic Space, Human Rights and Access to Justice in Eswatini
The Lilungelo Lakho Project, co-funded by the European Union, is a 42-month initiative that will benefit 40 communities across all four regions of Eswatini. It is led by the Foundation for Socio Economic Justice (FSEJ) in partnership with COSPE, the Southern African Litigation Centre (SALC), and the Editors Forum of Eswatini, and will be implemented by six partners: Swaziland Youth Network (SYN), Gcama Mfati, Eswatini Sexual and Gender Minorities (ESGM), the Swaziland Rural Women's Assembly, the Federation of the Disabled in Eswatini (FODSWA), and Voices of Our Voices.
SADC People's Summit
“The People’s SADC: Strengthening People’s Solidarity in a Polycrisis of Debt, Inequality, Conflict, Extractivism and Climate Change,” the summit provides a platform for people’s voices to be heard and for collective solutions to regional challenges to be explored.
FSEJ Annual General Meeting
The Foundation for Socio-Economic Justice holding its Annual General Meeting, to look into the state of the organisation and constitute a new Board of Directors. The AGM is co-funded by the European Union in Eswatini within the frame of the Civil Society in Action project.
Regional Validation Meetings
As part of the Lilungelo Lakho project. The Foundation for Socio-Economic Justice (FSEJ) held a Regional validation meetings across the 4 regions of the country of the report on the analysis of the Human Rights situation in Eswatini. The report carried a wide range of human rights challenges in the country with recent cases of violations and indicators of improvement.
